Mario Barbaresso

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mario Barbaresso is an energy industry veteran with a proven history of success in building and growing companies that meet the power system needs of commercial and industrial customers.

Prior to Power Survey, Barbaresso was CEO of Benning Power Electronics where he led a complete shift in Benning’s product line and company mission resulting in an unprecedented period of sales growth and revenue increases.

Before joining Benning in 2003, Barbaresso managed a number of operations for Emerson Network Power, Nortel Networks, and Advanced Power Systems in Canada, Europe, and the United States.

Throughout his career, Barbaresso has established a history of streamlining manufacturing and supply chain processes, revitalizing product development efforts and boosting profits.

Barbaresso is a certified member of the Canadian Engineer Board, and has graduated from Quebec’s Ecole de Technologie Superieure in 1986 with a Bachelor’s degree in Power Design and Power Transmission. He is fluent in French, English, and Italian, and has been trained in numerous project management, negotiation, and conflict management courses.

Mario Laflamme

Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer

Mario Laflamme is an accomplished finance executive with experience in several technology and manufacturing companies. Mr. Laflamme has worked with both public and private entities in Canada and the United States and has worked with venture capital and private equity investors. Mario Laflamme was also involved in many acquisitions and divestitures over the course of his career.

Prior to Power Survey, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of publicly traded Crescita Therapeutics and Biosign Technologies as well as LED Roadway Lighting, a venture backed street lighting technology company. Mr Laflamme also served as Managing Director of Mass Tech Partners, a Massachusetts based business and financial management firm. He also served as Chief Financial and President at Univisions Crimson Group and Vice President of Finance and Operations for The Learning Company, (formerly SoftKey Software), a publicly traded company that grew through acquisitions and was later acquired by Mattel Inc.

Mr. Laflamme holds a B.Comm degree in Accounting from the University of Ottawa. He holds a Chartered Accountant designation and is a Certified Public Accountant in the United States.

Christian Cossette

Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Christian Cossette has over 20 years of experience working in the high tech world in industries including telecom, power electronics, and automation.

Prior to Power Survey, Cossette was VP of operations for Rotalec. He managed operations for the business including finance, supply chain management, engineering, IT, production, and sales.

In his previous work at Emerson and ABB, Cossette led engineering teams and business units across Canada.

Cossette earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA), High Tech Business Management from University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM), and his Bachelor Electrical Engineering from University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières (UQTR).

Steve Roy

Chief Technology Officer

Steve Roy is a technological visionary who is a deep background in translating that vision into commercialized power industry products.  Formally the Global Product Manager for DC Wayside Power at ABB Canada where he was responsible for the research and development programs for traction power rectifiers, energy storage and recuperation systems with the corporate research center team. 

He has over 30 years of design, engineering and product management expertise in the field of power conversion in high tech companies, such as Spar Aerospace, Nortel, Emerson Network Power, Envitech Energy and ABB.
